Viewing Network Inventory Alert Log

In the Alert Log you view the list of the triggered Network Inventory alerts and the alert details. You can also see whether the alert notification was sent out successfully or not.

NOTE: By default, the Sent successfully field is not included in the grid view for log records. To show the column in the grid view you should modify the view configuration and add the Sent successfully field.

You can access the Alert Log from both the Settings App and the Network Inventory application.

To open the Alert Log from the Settings App:

  1. In the Settings App, go to Logs >Network Inventory > Administrative Alerts. The Alert Log opens (for details, see Network Inventory Administrative Alert Log).

  2. If you want to view the details of a particular log record, double-click the record to bring up the Alert Log Record window.

To open the Alert Log from the Desktop App:

  1. In the Network Inventory application, select Tools > Alert Log from the main menu. The Alert Log opens (for details, see Network Inventory Administrative Alert Log).

  2. If you want to view the details of a particular log record, double-click the record to bring up the Alert Log Record window.

NOTE: When accessing the Alert Log from the Network Inventory application, you can only view and refresh the log data. If you need to clear the Alert Log, you must access the Alert Log from the Settings App.
