Configuring User Synchronization

The Active Directory Synchronization job runs the Active Directory Import tool to import Persons, Locations, and Organizations data from Microsoft Active Directory or other directory service into the Alloy Navigator Express database. You can customize the job schedule. You can also configure the job to create SSP Customer Accounts for new Persons.

All imported Active Directory attributes correspond to Person fields in accordance with the configured mapping rules. The default mapping is usually sufficient, but you can modify or delete the default mapping rules and create new rules.
