Overview of the Approval Process

The approval process consists of the following steps:

  1. Requesting an approval:

On this step, you choose individuals who will be involved in the approval process and specify the voting method ( all approved or majority decision). If needed, you can create several approvals for the same object. Each approval that you create may have different approvers or a different approval methods. Each approver receives the request and the object receives the “Pending Approval” status.

  2. Voting:

Assigned approvers vote for or against the request. Depending on their votes and the voting method, the object receives “Approved” or “Rejected” status, and the approval process is completed.

In the following sections these steps are explained in more detail.
