Scheduling Reports

Alloy Navigator Express comes with a rich set of standard reports and charts for general use. When needed, technicians run (generate) reports from their Web App or Desktop App. In addition, Alloy Navigator Express can automatically generate reports at specified intervals. This article describes how to schedule reports.

All you need to do is configure reporting jobs. A reporting job produces a single report on a regular basis, and either saves is to a local or network folder, or broadcasts it via e-mail to a number of recipients.

You should configure an individual reporting job for each auto-generated report. You configure reporting jobs in the Services > Scheduled Reports section.

IMPORTANT: Reporting jobs run on the Automation Server, which must be properly configured and started beforehand. For details, see Automation Server.
