Selecting multiple records

To work with multiple records, you need to select these records first. You can do so by following any method described below or by using a combination of them.

To select a group of adjacent records:

1. Display the list to select records from.

2. In the grid, click the first item in the group of items you want to select.

3. Press and hold down the SHIFT key while you scroll the list and click the last item in the group. All the items in between will be selected.

To select a group of non-adjacent records:

1. Display the list to select records from.

2. Click the first item in the group of items you want to select.

3. Press and hold down the CTRL key while you scroll the list and click all the other items you want to include in the group. Only the items you clicked on will be selected.

To select all records across pages:

In multi-page data views, you can select all records across all pages, not only the records displayed on the current page.

1. Display the list that contains the records you want to select.

2. Select the main check box in the grid header. The system selects all records on the current page. The check box appears partially selected.

3. Click the Select all N records link that appears above the grid. All records across all remaining pages are selected.
