Integration with Active Directory and other directory services
Updated in 8.7.2
Introduced in 2022.2
The Services > Active Directory Integration section in the Sidebar is where you can integrate Alloy Navigator with your existing Microsoft Active Directory (AD), Azure Active Directory (Azure AD), or another directory service, such as JumpCloud, Okta, OneLogin, or AWS Directory Service.
NOTE: This integration functionality leverages the Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) to access user information. The integration service binds to directory services using simple bind authentication, the most common way to authenticate LDAP clients. So, if your alternative directory service supports simple binding, you can set up LDAP authentication and continual user synchronization for Alloy Navigator.
The Active Directory Integration section includes the following subsections:
Synchronization - for details, see Managing Active Directory Synchronization jobs
Domains Credentials - for details, see Managing Domain Credentials
Logs - for details, Active Directory Synchronization Log
