About this Admin Settings & Desktop App Help

This Help System is designed to help you quickly find answers to your questions about Alloy Navigator's windows and functions. There are two ways to access this Help system within Alloy Navigator:

  • Press the F1 key on the currently active screen to display the relevant topic. Note that not all screens will have context-sensitive help.

  • NOTE: Before pressing F1, you should click in one of the screen’s fields to display the topic for that actual screen.

  • Select Help > Help Contents on the menu bar to browse the Help System to find the necessary information.

  • Desktop App Help » Desktop App is a Windows interface for IT personnel to all Alloy Navigator functions.

  • Web App Help » In addition to the Desktop App, Alloy Navigator offers the Web App—a web interface for IT personnel to all Alloy Navigator functions. The Web Applications features its own Admin Settings & Desktop App Help.

  • Alloy Discovery Help » Alloy Navigator Enterprise includes Alloy Discovery—a software solution for automated discovery and audit of hardware and software configurations of computers and network devices. Alloy Discovery has its own Admin Settings & Desktop App Help.

  • Settings App Help » Settings App is an administrative application that enables Alloy Navigator administrators to perform various administrative tasks such as configuring business logic, creating and maintaining user accounts, configuring the e-mail and Active Directory integration, accessing logs, etc.

  • Tools and Utilities Help » Alloy Navigator offers various management tools, such as the Database Management tool, Alloy Automation Server Manager, Web Configuration tool, etc.
