Assigning IP addresses to Computers and Hardware
You can manually assign an IP address to a computer that you have manually added to the database, or to a network device. You can assign several different IP addresses if, for example, a computer has multiple network cards. In this case, however, one of those addresses should be marked as primary.

Manually assigned IP addresses are marked as manual, i.e. their Manual field are set to TRUE. However, you can modify the Manual value as needed.
If you do not enter a computer's IP address, it can be automatically added during the next audit data upload from Alloy Discovery. When the audit data is uploaded, the IP address of the computer identified during the audit is stored as computer's primary IP address.
