About Configuration Management module

The Configuration Management component comprises all Configuration Items (CIs). Alloy’s implementation of the Configuration Management lets you manage and control your CIs make visible any changes in your managed environment. The Configuration Management component comprises the following components:

• Computers

  Lets you manage your computer assets and track various hardware, software, and financial information about computers.

• Hardware

  Lets you manage any kind of hardware assets including hardware items that are not attached to computers or are not computer-related.

• Networks

  Lets you track information about your networks, such as IP address ranges, related tickets, etc.

• Documents

  Lets you manage the details about document CIs in your organization. These can be any kind of documents that you want to track.

• Configurations

  Lets you manage the details about CI's configurations, which allow you to combine multiple assets into one larger system to improve service manageability.
