Error Log Alert window
You use the Error Log Alert window to configure a notification to be sent when events of a particular Error Log category occur. These notifications are referred to as alerts. You can specify a technician to be alerted, or provide an e-mail address for sending such notifications.

Category - the category of Error Log events triggering the notifications. For the list of available categories, see Error Log.

Person - the alert recipient from the Person list.

E-mail - the e-mail address for sending alerts. To insert a placeholder for dynamic data, click the ellipsis button (or click in a field and press Ctrl+Enter) and choose the placeholder using the Select Placeholder window.

Subject - the message subject. You can keep the default template or customize it as needed. To insert a placeholder, click the ellipsis button (or click in a field and press Ctrl+Enter) and choose the placeholder from the drop-down list.

Message - the message text. You can keep the default template or customize it as needed. To insert a placeholder, click Insert Placeholder and choose the placeholder from the drop-down list.

Insert Placeholder - opens the drop-down list of placeholders to be replaced with the actual value at run time.
The following placeholders are available for the Subject and Message notification's fields:

Initiator Account |
The account of the person that initiated the event (blank if the initiator is a service). |
