Register your App in Microsoft Entra ID for Exchange Online
Introduced in 2023
This article guides you through registering your application in Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure Active Directory). You need this when, during integration setup in Alloy Navigator, you select Custom application registered in your Azure portal under Client. This registration enables Alloy Navigator to access your Exchange Online for processing incoming emails via the Mail Connector or for sending email notifications.
TIP: This guide works with both Microsoft Graph and EWS, but for best performance and full compatibility, we recommend using Microsoft Graph.
To register your application in Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD):
-
Go to the Microsoft Azure portal.
-
Navigate to Azure Active Directory > App registrations > + New registration and create a new app registration.
INFO: Follow Microsoft's guide on registering applications for detailed, up-to-date instructions.
