Viewing dashboards where a widget is used
To view the list of dashboards where a widget is used:
-
In the General > Dashboard Management > Widgets section, open the [Widget Type] subsection corresponding to the type of widget whose dashboards you want to view.
-
In the [Widget Type] subsection, double-click the necessary widget. The [Widget Type] Widget Properties window opens.
-
Open the Dashboards tab of the [Widget Type] Widget Properties window. The tab lists not only dashboards where the widget is displayed by default, but also dashboards where the widget is available to users during dashboard customization.
NOTE: For details on making a widget available during dashboard customization, see Modifying dashboards.
-
If necessary, double-click a particular dashboard from the list (or select it and click Open) to view or modify the dashboard properties in the Dashboard Designer window. Click Close to close the Dashboard Designer window.
-
Click OK to close the [Widget Type] Widget Properties window.
NOTE: Each time you modify a widget, its representation is changed in all dashboards where it is used. If you want to modify a widget in a particular dashboard only and leave it as is in other dashboards, you can create copy of the widget, modify it as needed, and then modify the dashboard by replacing the target widget with its modified copy.
