Redirect the Alloy Discovery Synchronization jobs to the pilot Alloy Discovery database

Updated in 2021.2

All Alloy Discovery Synchronization jobs in your pilot database continue to use your production Alloy Discovery database as the source of audit data. To test these jobs, you need to temporarily redirect them to your pilot Alloy Discovery database.

NOTE: You will point all your sync jobs back to the production Alloy Discovery database later. See Redirect Alloy Discovery Synchronization to the production Alloy Discovery database.

To redirect an Alloy Discovery Sync job to the pilot database:

  1. In Alloy Navigator Settings, go to Services > Alloy Discovery Integration > Synchronization and double-click a job.

  2. Modify the Alloy Discovery Database settings so that the job now connects to your pilot Alloy Discovery database.

  3. Click OK.

INFO: For details, see Administration Guide: Configuring Alloy Discovery Synchronization.

Now you can force the job to run and check its results. For details, see Administration Guide: Checking Results of Active Directory Synchronization Jobs.

To test how a job runs automatically, enable it. For details, see Administration Guide: Disabling or Enabling Active Directory Synchronization Jobs.
