Copying Security Roles

To copy a security role, follow these steps:

  1. From the Sidebar, navigate to Users & Security > Accounts and Roles > Roles.

  2. Select a role to be copied and click Copy Item on the Module menu. The Copy Role dialog box appears.

  3. The default name of the new role is Copy ([Role Name]), where [Role Name] is the name of the original role. Modify the new role name as needed.

  4. Click OK. The Security Role dialog box appears. The description and permissions are copied, however, the new role will have no Actions assigned.

  5. Modify the details as needed, then click OK.
