You can use the Database Management tool to upgrade your Alloy Navigator 8.x database to the latest version when you apply a minor upgrade within version 8.
IMPORTANT: If the database is involved in replication, you should turn replication off before upgrading it. After the database has been successfully upgraded, you can re-configure SQL Server database replication. For details, see your Microsoft SQL Server documentation such as Microsoft SQL Server Books Online, or other online resources. For example, see how to disable SQL Server 2008 R2 database replication on the Microsoft MSDN Web site at https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/previous-versions/sql/sql-server-2008-r2/ms152757(v=sql.105).
To upgrade the database within version 8.x, run the Database Management tool, choose Upgrade an Alloy Navigator database to the latest version on the Choose an action to perform page, and follow the on-screen instructions.
IMPORTANT: Upgrading a database requires membership in the sysadmin fixed server role on the SQL server that hosts the database. Sysadmin credentials are required only for upgrading the database. Alloy Navigator will not use them later.
