Customizing Web App settings

All customizable Web App settings are located on the Settings page. Here you can customize grid options and change your password.

To access the Settings page, click your user name on the right top corner and then click Settings.

Settings page

• Number of rows per page - sets the maximum number of grid rows on page. For details, see Limiting the number of records per page below.
• Refresh grids automatically every - enables the auto-refresh and sets the refresh frequency. For details, see Setting up automatic data refresh below.
• Open objects in a new window - specifies whether to open any object record in a new browser tab. For details, see Managing object windows behavior below.
• Save - saves the changes made to the settings above.
• Change Password - allows you to change your password. For details, see Changing password below.

Customizing grid options

Use the Grid options section to specify how to display grids. Here you can set the number of rows per page, enable or disable the auto-refresh and specify the refresh frequency, and configure how to open object records.

• Limiting the number of rows per page

  To limit the number of rows per page:

  1. Click your user name on the right top corner and then click Settings. The Settings page opens.

  2. Under Grid Options, enter the maximum number of rows in the Number of rows per page field.

  3. Click Save.

• Setting up automatic data refresh

  To set up automatic data refresh:

  1. Click your user name on the right top corner and then click Settings. The Settings page opens.

  2. Under Grid Options, select the Refresh grids automatically every check box and enter the number of minutes that you want.

  3. Click Save.

  To disable automatic data refresh:

  1. Click your user name on the right top corner and then click Settings. The Settings page opens.

  2. Under Grid Options, clear the Refresh grids automatically every check box.

  3. Click Save.

• Managing object windows behavior

  When you double-click a grid record, the record details appear. Here you define whether to open object records in a new window (a new browser tab) or not.

  To enable or disable opening objects in a new tab:

  1. Click your user name on the right top corner and then click Settings. The Settings page opens.

  2. Under Grid Options section, select or clear the Open objects in new window check box, correspondingly.

  3. Click Save.

Changing password

If you use an account with Standard Authentication, i.e. type your user name and password to sign in to Alloy Navigator, you can change your password here.
