Working with views

Updated in 2023.2

After you have customized the visual aspects of a grid, you can save your settings for further use as a view. A view is a particular visual representation of a grid. Each module (component) has one or more data views already created for your convenience.

There are two types of views in Alloy Navigator:

  • Personal (local) views: Available for you only. You can create new local views and copy, rename, or delete the existing ones.

  • Shared views - available not only to you but also to other Alloy Navigator users. You can share your local views, or you can use shared views created by the administrator or other users. The availability of managing shared views depends on your role in the organization.

When you access an Alloy Navigator component, the data is displayed using either the default view for that component or using the view you chose last.
