Creating conflict resolution rules

To add a conflict resolution rule:

  1. In the Services > Alloy Discovery Integration > Conflict Resolution > Conflict Policy section, click New. The Conflict Resolution Rule window opens.

  2. Type in the rule name.

  3. Optional: Type in a description.

  4. Create rule conditions as you need:

    1. In each row for the Computer field whose value to compare, select the comparison operator in the Condition column.

    2. Select the check box in the Enabled column to enable the condition.

  5. In the Perform Action list, select which action to perform when the rule conditions are met: overwrite the existing computer or resolve the conflict manually. In the latter case, a conflict will appear in the Conflict List below the Conflict Policy section.

  6. Click OK.
