General tab

The General tab displays the following fields:

ID - automatically generated number of the project record.

Status - the status of the project. The list of project statuses is defined by your Alloy Navigator administrator. When the status is set to "Closed", this project is not listed in the Select Project window and Project field so that you cannot choose it.

Name - the name of the Project.

Type - the type of the Project. The list of project types is defined by your Alloy Navigator administrator.

Manager - the name of the Person selected as the project manager. When the manager is chosen, the field label becomes hyperlinked. To view person details, click the link.

Calendar - the work calendar of the Project.

Scheduled Start Date - the start date specified by the Project manager. This field is shown in a datetime format.

Scheduled End Date - the end date specified by the Project manager. This field is shown in a datetime format.

Start Date - this field is filled out automatically when the Project is started. This field is shown in a datetime format.

End Date - this field is filled out automatically when the Project is completed. This field is shown in a datetime format.

Planned Effort - the planned amount of time for the Assignees to finish all Tasks of the Project.

Cumulative Time Spent - shows the sum of Time Spent values in all the Project's activities and the Time Spent values in all Tasks included in this Project (if any).

Percent Complete - this field is calculated automatically based on values of the Project's planned effort and complete hours of all Tasks included in this Project .

Closure Code - if the Project is closed, displays the code that can be chosen when closing the Project. The list of possible codes is defined by your Alloy Navigator administrator. Typically, those codes are used for reporting purposes.

The General tab may also display various user-defined fields in an additional section if your Alloy Navigator administrator has configured them accordingly. The default name of this section is "Custom Data", although your Alloy Navigator administrator may have renamed this section.

NOTE: User-defined fields can appear also on the Custom Data tab (this is the default name of the tab; it can be renamed by your Alloy Navigator administrator).
