Alloy Navigator Enterprise is an integrated software suite consisting of the following components:

Server components and Desktop Apps:

Alloy NavigatorAlloy Navigator provides access to computer, hardware and software inventory, service desk, contact management, reporting, administrative operations. Alloy Navigator includes the following modules:

  • Automation Server — The Alloy Automation Server is a Windows service that runs automated tasks for Alloy Navigator.

  • Settings — The Settings App is an administrative application where Alloy Navigator administrators perform various administrative tasks such as configuring business logic, creating and maintaining user accounts, configuring the e-mail and Active Directory integration, accessing logs, etc.

  • Desktop App — The Desktop App is a desktop interface for IT personnel to all Alloy Navigator functions.

Web Applications

  • Web App — The Web App is the primary user interface for IT personnel to all Alloy Navigator functions.

  • Self Service Portal — The Self Service Portal is a self-service web interface for your customers and internal company users to the Service Desk, Service Catalog, Knowledge Base, and other modules of Alloy Navigator.

  • API — The Alloy Navigator API module is a RESTful API service that provides integration capabilities for our native mobile apps and other third-party applications. Using the API, you can make external apps work with Alloy Navigator objects and perform workflow actions.

Mobile Apps

  • Mobile App — Alloy Navigator Mobile App is our native mobile application that enables IT personnel to work with Alloy Navigator’s Incidents, Work Orders, Service Requests, Change Requests, Approval Requests, and Announcements using their iOS or Android mobile devices. The app requires that the API module is installed and configured for Access Token authentication.

  • Inventory Scanner — Alloy Inventory Scanner is our native mobile asset tracking solution that enables IT personnel to identify, view, and inventory IT assets in the field in real time using their iOS or Android mobile devices. The app requires that the API is installed and configured for Access Token authentication.

Alloy DiscoveryAlloy Discovery is tightly integrated with Alloy Navigator to provide tools for automated discovery and audit of hardware and software configurations of computers and network devices. Alloy Discovery includes the following modules:

  • Inventory Server — The Alloy Inventory Server is a Windows service that runs automated tasks for Alloy Discovery. These are scheduled tasks and the tasks initiated at a user’s request.

  • Desktop App — The Desktop App is the desktop user interface to Alloy Discovery. The application provides you with all the tools you need to configure, deploy, and run the audit. It also provides analytical and reporting tools to analyze and interpret audit results.

  • Settings — The Settings App is an administrative tool that enables you to perform various administrative tasks such as create and maintain user accounts, configure alerts, customize field labels, resolve conflicts, access log files, etc.
