Stop the Inventory Server before the upgrade

On the computer hosting the Alloy Discovery Inventory Server, stop the Inventory Server using the Inventory Server Manager:

1. Run the Inventory Server Manager from the Alloy Control Panel (Start > Alloy Software > Alloy Control Panel and click the Inventory Server icon).

2. Enter the name or IP address of the SQL server that hosts your Alloy Discovery 2023 database, provide Alloy Discovery 2023 administrative credentials, and choose the database name.

3. Click Stop.

4. Click OK to exit the Inventory Server Manager.

If you have several Inventory Server instances for your Alloy Discovery 2023 database, you must stop every instance.
