Migration From Earlier Versions of Alloy Navigator
Perform the following steps to upgrade:
- Install Alloy the Navigator 8 Suite
- Install Server Components of Alloy Discovery 8
- Optional: Migrate to a New Alloy Discovery 8 Database
- Optional: Activate Your Test Alloy Discovery 8
- Install Server Components of Alloy Navigator 8
- Create a Pilot Alloy Navigator 8 Database
- Activate Alloy Navigator Express 8
- Install and Configure the Web App 8
- Install and Configure the Self Service Portal 8
- Install and Configure the API Module 8
- Install and Configure the Mobile App Service 8 (deprecated)
- Configure Your Pilot Alloy Navigator 8 Suite
- Deactivate Your Previous Version of Alloy Navigator Suite
- Stop Alloy Automation Server 8 and Alloy Inventory Server 8
- Stop Alloy Automation Server 8 and Alloy Inventory Server 8
- Upgrade the Production Alloy Discovery Database
- Activate the product
- Move Alloy Navigator 8 to Production
- Reconfigure Alloy Navigator 8 Web Services for Production Database and Production URLs
- Optional: Redirect Your Alloy Discovery Synchronization to the Production Alloy Discovery 8 Database
- Optional: Redirect Your Mail Connector to the Support Mailbox
- Delete Test Notifications and Resume the Notification Queue
- Start Your Alloy Automation Server 8 and Alloy Inventory Server 8
- Upgrade Client Components for Technicians
- Perform Additional Steps
- If you are upgrading from version 7.0, optional: Install and Configure the API Module
- Invite Technicians to Install the Mobile App
- Optional: Update Alloy Navigator 8 Archive Databases
- Optional: Uninstall Alloy Navigator Suite of the Previous Version
- Optional: Remove Unneeded SQL Server Login Accounts
