Our SaaS solution can dynamically scale to meet the needs of your business. We supply all the hardware and software necessary: data storage and backup solutions, web-based email services, database processing, managed technical support services, and more.

Alloy Administrative Tools

The Alloy Administrative Tools installation package (AlloyAdminTools87x.exe) includes these administrative apps and tools:

Settings App

The administrative desktop app that enables you to perform various administrative tasks, such as customizing business logic, creating and maintaining user accounts, configuring the email and Active Directory integration, accessing logs, etc.

Import tool

The tool that enables you to import data from external files and third-party database applications, such as CRM, HR, and network inventory systems, directly into Alloy Navigator cloud.

Active Directory Import tool
(Import Contacts)

The tool that imports user data from the on-prem Active Directory or other directory services into your cloud-based Alloy Navigator in accordance with Active Directory Synchronization jobs that you create in the Settings App.

Alloy Discovery

The Alloy Discovery installation package (AlloyDiscoverySetup87x.exe) allows you to install Alloy Discovery on-premises. You can use on-prem Alloy Discovery for internal audits and sync data with your Alloy Navigator in the cloud.

Audit agent

The audit agent installation package (AlloyAuditAgent.msi) includes a preconfigured audit agent. Once you install the agent on the computers you want audited, it will regularly audit target computers and automatically deliver audit results to your on-prem Alloy Discovery and cloud-based Alloy Navigator via FTP.

Database Access Keys

Before you log in to Alloy Navigator Settings or Alloy Discovery for the first time, you need to import the Database Access Key to your local computer. Typically, the keys are delivered as zipped .reg files (AlloyNavigatorKey.zip and AlloyDiscoveryKey.zip).

Limitations

In comparison with our on-premises solution, the cloud-based solution has the following limitations:

Automated notifications

Once a minute or less frequently

The minimum interval for checking the notification queue is 60 seconds. Attempts to set a shorter interval are discarded.

Sync with the Active Directory or other directory services

Every 4 hours or less frequently

The minimum interval for Active Directory Synchronization is four hours. Attempts to set up a more frequent schedule for Active Directory synchronization jobs are discarded.

Incoming mail processing

Every 5 minutes or less frequently

The minimum interval for checking incoming mail is five minutes. Attempts to set up a more frequent schedule for Mail Connector jobs are discarded.

Recurring tickets

Every 15 minutes or less frequently

The minimum interval for recurring tickets is fifteen minutes. Attempts to set up a more frequent schedule for Recurrent Ticket jobs are discarded.

Workflow Log

Only failed executions

The Workflow Log can record only failed executions. The retention period is 7 days and cannot be changed.

Log retention policy

30 days

The retention period for log entries is 30 days and cannot be changed. Log entries older than 30 days are purged automatically.

Scheduled reports

Once a day or less frequently

The minimum interval for recurring tickets is twenty-four hours. Attempts to set up a more frequent schedule for Scheduled Report jobs are discarded.

Archiving

Not supported

The ability to archive old Service Desk tickets is disabled.

Attachment size limit

50 MB

Attachments larger than 50 MB are not allowed.

Auto-checking for new audit snapshots in Alloy Discovery

Every 15 minutes or less frequently

The minimum interval for auto-checking audit sources for new audit snapshots is fifteen minutes. Attempts to set up a more frequent schedule in Alloy Discovery are discarded.

Automatic upgrade of Desktop App installations

Not supported

The Automatic Upgrade feature is disabled. Alloy hosted solution does not include the Desktop App, so there is no need to upgrade it.
