Changing Password for Technician Accounts

If your technicians have accounts with Standard authentication, you are able to change their passwords from the Settings.

When changing the passwords of your technician accounts, consider the password complexity requirements for technicians to access Alloy Navigator.

To change the password for a Technician account, follow these steps:

  1. From the Sidebar, navigate to Users & Security > Accounts and Roles > Accounts.
  2. Double-click a Technician account. The User Account dialog box appears.
  3. Click Change Password. The Change Password dialog box opens.
  4. Type the new password in the two boxes provided.
  5. Click OK.

    NOTE: Since the account is a SQL Server account, this will also change the password for the SQL Server account.
