Managing the Database Access

Alloy Discovery apps use the Database Access Key to access the Alloy Discovery database. This is a unique key generated automatically when you or another Alloy Discovery administrator creates or upgrades the database. A registered copy of this key must exist on each computer that requires access to the Alloy Discovery database, which means that the key must be distributed to all target computers.

NOTE: After the upgrade from a version earlier than 2024.1, the Database Access Key is distributed to all target computers automatically, during the first user's login to the database. However, you can always manually distribute the key, if needed.
