Microsoft System CLR Types for SQL Server 2016

If you are planning to allow your Desktop App users to view and print reports in Microsoft’s Report Definition Language (RDL) format, the Main Console requires Microsoft System CLR Types for SQL Server 2016. This is a prerequisite for Microsoft Report Viewer 2016, which is installed with your Alloy Discovery client components. For details on supported reporting formats and additional reporting software, see Reporting.

Before installing the client components of Alloy Discovery, the Alloy Discovery Installer checks this component automatically, along with other prerequisites. The information is shown in the "Microsoft System CLR Types for SQL Server 2016" row of the Check Prerequisites window. If the test fails, the Check Prerequisites window displays a warning message along with a hyperlink. Click the hyperlink to open the Details window, where you can view additional information and install Microsoft System CLR Types for SQL Server 2016 by clicking Install.
