Components of Alloy Discovery Enterprise 8
Alloy Discovery consists of the following modules:
Desktop App — The Desktop App is the desktop user interface to Alloy Discovery. The application provides you with all the tools you need to configure, deploy, and run the audit. It also provides analytical and reporting tools to analyze and interpret audit results.
Settings — The Settings App is an administrative tool that enables you to perform various administrative tasks such as create and maintain user accounts, configure alerts, customize field labels, resolve conflicts, access log files, etc.
Inventory Server — The Alloy Inventory Server is a Windows service that runs automated tasks for Alloy Discovery. These are scheduled tasks and the tasks initiated at a user’s request.
